Standard SRC-146 2 meter handheld. This was used on MARS and CAP as well. Standard C628 440/1.2G handheld. This was a rare departure from the 2/440 handhelds available in 1991. Full featured and rugged. The Standard line included other units which were marketed under the Heath label. I still have the C628. |
I have owned two Mizuho units. The MX-2 2 meter SSB/CW handheld was purchased at Dayton in the late 80's for $100. In 2000, I bought a used MX-6 6 meter SSB/CW and matching power amplifier. With this unit I received stations in Europe during band openings, but found it difficult to make QRP contacts. |
I have used Microwave Modules transverters for 6 meters, 220 MHz, 432 MHz and 1296 MHz. The company is still around but the transverters are not current products. |
I currently use SSB Electronic transverters for 903 and 2304 MHz. I owned two of each during the period I was accumulating grids for VUCC (one to use and one to loan out). |
I have used many power amplifiers, including a Radio Industries Loudenboomer MKIIA for HF and a Henry 2002 for 2 meters. Solid state amplifiers include Mirage models for 6, 2 and 220; RF concepts for 2 and 440, and TE systems for 6 meters. See Rigpix for amplifier information. |
I have not used much in the MFJ product line, but I currently have the MFJ-259 Antenna Analyzer. I have many MFJ Morse code training items in my Museum. |
I currently use the AEA MM3 keyer in my shack. See also a number of other AEA items in my Morse code training Museum. |
