My first Yaesu goodie was an FRG-9600 wide range all mode receiver.   This was eventually traded off to WB5LUA.

I owned a 220 FM handheld which is curiously absent from Rigpix.  It was similar to the FT-207 2 meter unit.   With a strong channel 13 transmitter in the neighborhood, it was not much fun to use, through no fault of the unit.

I owned two different FT-911 1.2 GHz FM radios, one bought from KC4BQH, the other at Dayton.  Both were resold to Kent WA5VJB for use in the Dallas area.

I owned two different FT-290 (not the MK2 version) 2 meter all mode and one companion FT-490 440 all mode.  These were used as IF radios for Microwave Transverters.  They all ended up with WA4PRR.

Conclusion: Yaesu makes good stuff but I still prefer ICOM.
