48 State Round-Robin Flight Plan

I recently purchased an Avmap EKP IV GPS receiver in an effort to modernize fight operations in my 1979 Cheetah.  The EKP is typical of the current breed of database rich units, but with a larger, higher resolution display than other portables.  After putting about 20 cross country hours on it, I have become comfortable using most of its features.  However, I still felt a need to sharpen my skills in planning flights using the EKP, in order to facilitate making necessary changes when deviations are called for in flight.  What I devised to provide a flight planning exercise is a proposed mission to fly to each of the 48 contiguous states beginning at my Virginia location, with a stop in each state at an uncontrolled field.   A few places and the sequence were chosen out of personal preference.  This plan was developed on the EKP using the map display and internal database.  The table below shows the sequence and stops planned.  Airnav links are provided for each facility.  The total distance is 6500 nautical miles, with the single longest leg under 500 nautical miles (within the normal range envelope of the Cheetah).
